THE MONGOLIAN ALTAI SOURCE
From Mongolia’s Altai Mountains to Asheville.
Our shilajit comes from Mongolia’s high-altitude Altai Mountains—a region known for rugged terrain and long-standing traditional harvesting practices. For Metanoia, source is not a background detail; it is the foundation of the product.
THE PRODUCT EXPERIENCE
Why our resin is deliberately thick.
Shilajit resin can vary in texture. Ours is dense, earthy, smoky and naturally bitter. It may take a little practice to scoop, but the texture is part of the product experience—not something we try to hide.
- Dense resin texture
- Earthy, smoky character
- Distinctive bitter taste

PRACTICAL DETAILS
Before you choose a jar.
What makes Mongolian Altai shilajit different?
Source matters. Metanoia&Co. shilajit comes from the high-altitude Altai Mountains of Mongolia, and we keep it in its naturally dense resin form rather than presenting it as a thin liquid. The rugged source region, traditional resin format and distinctive earthy, smoky character are central to what sets it apart.
Why is the resin so thick?
Shilajit resin is naturally dense and sticky, and its texture changes with temperature—it softens when warm and firms when cool. That variation is normal. Use a clean, dry utensil, and if the resin is difficult to scoop, gently warm the sealed jar in your hands before serving.
Which jar should I choose?
20g Starter Jar: Best for a first purchase, a smaller upfront commitment, or a compact jar for travel. It gives you enough product to establish a routine before moving to a larger size.
50g OG Jar: Best for someone planning consistent use who wants a practical middle ground between upfront cost and the amount kept on hand. It offers better value per gram than the Starter Jar without committing to the largest size.
130g Homestead Jar: Best for established users, couples or households that share, and anyone prioritizing the lowest price per gram and fewer reorders.
How much should I take?
Existing product guidance recommends starting with a rice-grain-sized amount—approximately 250mg. Start small, pay attention to how it fits your routine and do not exceed the directions on your product label. If you are pregnant or nursing, take medication, or are managing a health condition, speak with a qualified healthcare professional before use.
How should I take it?
Dissolve the resin in warm—not boiling—water or tea and stir until dispersed. It can also be taken under the tongue or swallowed with water if preferred. Always use a clean, dry utensil so moisture is not introduced into the jar.
When should I take it?
Many people make it part of a morning routine, but there is no single required time. A consistent time that works for you is usually more practical than chasing a perfect schedule. If you find it too stimulating later in the day, move it earlier.
How should I store it?
Keep the lid tightly closed and store the jar in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight, excess heat and moisture. Refrigeration is not required. The resin may firm in cooler conditions and soften in warmer conditions; this is a normal texture change. Do not add water directly to the jar.
How do shipping and returns work?
